Final AT

In The New York Times editorial by Paul Krugman entitled "Robots and Robber Barons" (December 9, 2012), why does Krugman say that both robots and robber barons are having a negative impact on wage labor? Do you think most informed Americans would agree that capital, not skill or education determines one's income and that fundamental principles of material-based wealth no longer apply in the current economy (in other words, does the capitalist oligarchy need a middle class anymore?) Provide examples from any of your reading, your conversations with other Americans or your experience to support your evaluation of the author's assertion.
